YOUNG FAMILY HOME
This property was the next step for a young couple moving out of London. A three bedroom property in a perfect location with not quite the living space for a soon to be family of three. The brief was for modern, open plan family living with a dedicated space for both relaxing with friends when hosting but also to double up as a play space for their daughter day to day. To achieve this we built a ground floor rear extension onto the already large kitchen dining area. Flooded with natural light from the bifold doors and velux windows we introduced natural textures to the space, featuring tones that harmonise with the garden directly outside. A gentle colour palette allowed the whole space to flow beautifully whilst accommodating the soft pastels of the sourced play mat and wooden toys styled on shelving for both pleasing aesthetic and additional storage. The addition of a small downstairs toilet allowed us to fulfil the brief of functionality required for a growing family whilst creating a more bold, exciting space that was a talking point in an otherwise calm and neutral home.
A LITTLE SANCTUARY
This young family loved the layout of this house and older features and fireplaces that came with it. They wanted to focus on their lounge space at the front of the property which benefitted from large bay windows and a stunning fireplace. The brief was to achieve a calm, inviting, sanctuary that wouldn’t get taken over by toys; somewhere they could shut the door on at the end of a day and relax. We introduced a gentle colour palette and brought in natural texture and colour tones to achieve this general feel. Accentuating the fireplace with brick tiles, framing the window with soft linen fabric and adding a touch of luxury with a bold velvet sofa with the backdrop of a compelling wallpaper achieved exactly the feel they were after whilst perfectly highlighting their favourite features of the room.
IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS
This space had to be suitable for both family and the owners clients that would be using the WC within the home. Key features including the basin, flooring and splash back were to remain, allowing for minimal disruption and for higher portions of the budget to be spent elsewhere in the property which was for full redecoration. Individual hand towels and a hand sanitiser were both key requirements to be included within the design and styling. This project is a true example of how you can change everything without changing everything!
MODERN COTTAGE OFFICE INTERIOR
This grade II listed building has an abundance of character and natural beauty. The client was looking for a solution to finding permanence in an office space to which we looked at a small room on the top floor. An old wood ceiling beam set the tone for the space and we coordinated it with the modern style and colours of more recent renovations through the rest of the property. Exposing the floors, navigating the sloped ceilings and embracing the quirky floor plan we came up with a design that not only maximised the space available but also gave this room new life, place and purpose in an already stunning family home.
THE 'BOX ROOM'
Something so many of us are oh so familiar with! This little room may be small but it ticks all the boxes for exactly what it was intended for. The brief was to create a nursery for a very important little person soon to join the family. Using the gentle colour palette that runs through the rest of the home we put together a scheme for this little one that would serve them over the next couple of years. We utilised the wall space for some additional storage as they grow and to showcase the little things that add personality and meaning to a space.
CONTEMPORARY & COSY
This lounge, formally light and bright was ready for a makeover. With the primary purpose being a TV room, these clients were looking for somewhere to unwind and get comfy in the evenings. They were looking for something different from the rest of the house and sought to create a bold cosy atmosphere in here whilst maintaining the calm, neutral theme that carried through the rest of their home. TOTAL RENOVATION
This client had a vision for a property with a modern industrial edge whilst boasting and further highlighting the traditional architectural finishes and features of this Victorian London build. Embracing the smaller floor plans and character quirks of an inner city space, function and storage were carefully considered so not to overwhelm or crowd the space. A complete renovation and rear extension saw this property transformed into something that screams style, substance and sophistication.
