Hello and welcome! I am Maria and I’d love to share some background behind my company, Pinnington Interiors Ltd. Admiration for design is something I am likely to share with many of you. I grew up in Somerset and moved to London in my early twenties and I’d love to tell you that this move was to gain experience with some of the impressive interior design companies here but it was actually for what I could learn from the large teaching hospitals due to my background in healthcare. I met my husband here and opportunities for both of us meant that I never left!

We were fortunate in being able to buy our first flat in South London. A few years later we moved to Surrey for a little more space whilst remaining within reach of the city.  It was this property renovation process that kick started my desire to combine a lifelong passion for quality design and creative details, with completing professional interior design qualifications. I founded Pinnington Interiors in 2021, shortly after the arrival of my daughter, Zara.

Having navigated the pitfalls that present themselves when buying properties in and around London, my goal was to create a company that would problem solve the every day obstacles within the walls we live, whilst achieving a unique design that speaks to the homeowner.

My design services make beautiful design accessible to many. I provide a personalised service, from understanding the functional challenges to conceptualising the brief and managing the design details. It can be a journey to get to a place where you feel connected to and proud of your home but I know that with creative, considered design it is possible to transform houses into homes that will inspire for many years.
